Lost finale recap

(spoilers ahead)

It's clear that the mixed reaction to the finale was attributed that people having different expectations for the show.

Look I can understand the story about being redeemed and making connections, but I felt the other parts were so badly bungled. The flash sideways scenes were sometimes forced and contrived. The worst was Juliet and Sawyer meeting at the pop machine.... wonder what's going to happen. Of course you can't help but have some emotional response since you've become attached to these characters over the seasons. Thereby overlooking the hokey sudden loss amnesia.

The two serious strikes against the finale/season:

1) Repeatedly violating the suspension of disbelief with inane logic plot lines and scenes. For example, when Ben is trapped under a tree and a big deal is made about it, yet somehow he unexpectedly escapes. Did they have a crane hidden under a rock somewhere?!

Maintaining the suspension of disbelief matters. Otherwise Jack might as well go super saiyan level 4 and punch Locke into orbit.

2) The mythology was a big part of the show. If it wasn't, why even bother mentioning the numbers, Locke overcoming paralysis, etc. And clearly no answers were given for numerous issues.

The cheesy smug grinning in the final scene felt like a big FU in regards to "haha we suckered you in with the mythology and now you'll never find out the truth".
